A great parody of the Microsoft Surface concept. They have a good point about mobile vs “the big-ass table”, especially considering that mobile devices may have built in projectors in the near future.

This is pretty ingenious, and all it requires is placing some weights at the top of the lamp every couple of hours. No cords, no mess, no fuss. Awesome.

Virginia Tech: Lamp lit by gravity wins Greener Gadget award

This is an oldie, but a goodie. This clip shows groups of Korean football fans who create a human LCD screen by using what looks like clothing and coloured boards to create “pixels” out of the individual crowd members. The coordination and practise required to achieve this is incredible.

When I first saw this, my jaw almost hit the floor. I think the fact that your brain can create the illusion of objects appearing in front of the display is probably more amazing than the technology itself. The big console companies should be headhunting this guy right now!
